1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to VetBattleBuddy ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website, downloading our mobile or desktop applications, or using our services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

2. NOT A Medical or Emergency Service

CRITICAL NOTICE: VetBattleBuddy is a technology support platform, not a medical provider or emergency service.

  • Not a Doctor: The insights provided by our "Guardian Classifier," "Biometric Crisis Detection," and "Wellness Forecasting" are for informational purposes only. They are not medical diagnoses or treatment advice.

  • Crisis Situations: If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or the Veterans Crisis Line at 988 (Press 1).

  • No Duty to Rescue: While our systems are designed to detect distress patterns, we cannot guarantee detection or intervention. You acknowledge that VetBattleBuddy is not liable for any failure to alert emergency services.​

3. NOT Legal or VSO Advice

While VetBattleBuddy assists with VA Disability Claims and appeals:

  • No Attorney-Client Relationship: Using our "AI Letter Generation," "Claim Builder," or "Appeal Support" tools does not create an attorney-client relationship.

  • Not a VSO: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we are a software provider, not an accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO).

  • No Guarantees: We provide estimates on "Approval Probability" and "Processing Times" based on historical data and AI analysis. We cannot and do not guarantee that your claim will be approved or that your disability rating will increase. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has final authority on all claims.

4. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Our Services utilize advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, including Azure OpenAI and automated decision support systems. By using the Services, you acknowledge:

  • Accuracy: AI may occasionally produce incorrect information ("hallucinations"). You should verify all AI-generated claims narratives, medical summaries, and legal citations before submitting them to federal agencies.

  • Automated Processing: We use AI to translate military skills (MOS) and match careers. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of these translations in your job applications.

5. User Accounts & Security

  • Identity Verification: You may be required to verify your identity using PIV/CAC credentials or other government-standard authentication methods to access certain features.

  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Our platform enforces Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your protection; attempting to bypass this is a violation of these Terms.

  • Prohibited Activities: You agree not to:

    • Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from our software.

    • Use the platform to submit fraudulent documents to the VA or DoD.

    • Interfere with our integration with federal systems (VA Lighthouse API, USAJobs, etc.).

6. Privacy & Data Ownership

  • Your Data: You retain ownership of your personal records. You grant us a license to process your data to provide the Services (e.g., analyzing medical records for claims evidence).

  • HIPAA Compliance: We handle your health information in compliance with HIPAA standards, utilizing encryption and dual-storage architecture. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.

  • Blockchain Audit: You acknowledge that access to your records is logged on an immutable Hyperledger Fabric blockchain for security and audit purposes.

7. Federal & Government Endorsements

VetBattleBuddy integrates with systems provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD). However, VetBattleBuddy is a private entity and is NOT endorsed, sponsored, or operated by the VA, DoD, or any U.S. government agency.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VetBattleBuddy shall not be liable for:

  • Denied Claims: Any rejected VA claims, reduced ratings, or lost benefits resulting from the use of our automated tools.

  • Health Outcomes: Any injury, health complication, or death resulting from reliance on our wellness tracking or crisis detection features.

  • Service Interruptions: Downtime caused by Azure Government cloud outages or third-party API failures (e.g., VA Lighthouse, EHR systems).

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms.

  • Engage in abusive behavior within our Community Groups or towards our staff.

  • Attempt to compromise the security of our FedRAMP-compliant infrastructure.

10. Governing Law

​

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [Insert State], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
